Job description
Light Vehicle Driver
A Driver is a professional who drives parts/items around in an efficient, safe and timely manner. In addition to moving the vehicles within the workshop, maintaining regular cleaning services for our vehicles; you will also help us increase customer satisfaction by making sure the cars are safe and clean.
Your role
- Driving parts / items daily to their desired destinations
- Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean
- Using navigation apps to determine the best route
- Move new vehicles from location to location, without damage and whilst adhering to all current company policies.
- Maintain a 100% damage-free record. Timely report of all accident or incidents involving company property to Service and Reception Managers.
- Accurately maintain vehicle logbooks in accordance with company requirements.
- Washing/cleaning/fueling of new units; Scan and update the fuel date through the Fuel Management System.
Job requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Driver in UAE
- A valid driver’s license in UAE for light vehicles – VAN
- A clean driving record.
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods within UAE (Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah)
- Ability to lift heavy items or packages.
- Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school diploma
