About Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital
PIONEERING HEALTHCARE IN THE HOLY CITY : In the heart of the Holy City of Madinah, a pillar of world-class healthcare is set to grace the landscape. Much like its esteemed predecessor, Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital (DSFH-Jeddah), founded by Dr. Soliman Fakeeh in 1978, has etched its name in the history of Saudi Arabia’s private healthcare sector for over 45 years. As a trailblazer in healthcare, DSFH has consistently pushed the boundaries of medical services, achieving success rates that rival international standards. Since its inception, DSFH has been on a trajectory of growth and innovation. In 1986, the late King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz inaugurated the first expansion of the establishment, doubling inpatient capacity and introducing groundbreaking divisions such as open-heart surgery, along with clinics specializing in neurosurgery, neurology, nephrology, and infertility. This marked DSFH as a pioneering force in the private healthcare sector in the Kingdom. Bringing its illustrious history to the holy city of Madinah, DSFH has achieved numerous milestones. In 1995, DSFH’s virology lab executed a groundbreaking virus isolation operation for Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever, a feat previously unattained in the Kingdom. This achievement played a pivotal role in the prevention of outbreaks in the western region of the country. Not resting on its laurels, DSFH continued its expansion in 1999, as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, inaugurated the second expansion, further enhancing the hospital’s services with pediatric clinics, neonatology, plastic surgery, and health-promotion and fitness centers. As the city of Madinah awaits the opening of DSFH in 2024, the promise of pioneering tertiary level healthcare services, coupled with a dedication to excellence, is poised to shape the future of healthcare in this sacred city. With its legacy of innovation and commitment to excellence, DSFH Madinah is all set to be a source of hope and healing.
