JOB PURPOSE:
To create visually engaging and effective design solutions that support the communication objectives of the Corporate Communications Department, this role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, conceptualizing design concepts, and executing various design projects across print and digital platforms.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Core Accountabilities
- Collaborate with the Manager to understand design requirements, project objectives, and brand guidelines.
- Develop creative concepts and design solutions for various communication materials, including brochures, reports, presentations, infographics, digital assets, and marketing collateral.
- Ensure all design deliverables align with the organization’s visual identity guidelines and effectively communicate key messages.
- Use industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), to create and edit visual assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and other departments, to gather project requirements and understand target audience needs.
- Create visually compelling designs that enhance the organization’s brand image and effectively engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Adapt design work for different mediums, including print, digital, and social media platforms, while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Incorporate feedback and revisions from stakeholders into design work, ensuring a collaborative and iterative design process.
- Stay updated on design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in graphic design, and integrate them into design projects when appropriate.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
People Management Accountabilities
Ensure that all subordinates have clear objectives, constructive and accurate performance feedback sessions formal annual performance appraisals, and individual development plans.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Adhere with direction for the development and implementation of organizational unit’s policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient and effective operation.
- Comply with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.
Change Management
- Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices.
- Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization’s policies and standards.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or a related field. Relevant certifications or specialized training in graphic design are a plus.
MBA or Masters in a related field (Preferred).
Experience:
2-3 years of experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across various mediums.
