As a Construction Manager you will oversee the execution of construction activities for a major Giga project in Saudi Arabia. This role will involve managing the day-to-day operations, coordinating between design and construction teams, and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. He/She ensures that all delivery is in-line with Knight Frank’s GENOME and IHub.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on-site.
- Work closely with design teams to implement and manage construction plans.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that milestones are met.
- Ensure that all construction work adheres to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage subcontractors and construction workers, ensuring their performance meets project requirements.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or delays.
- Review and approve work performed by subcontractors and suppliers.
- Communicate project status and updates to the senior management team.
- Ensure all necessary permits and inspections are completed on time.
- Implement and follow best practices in construction management.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years experience as a Construction Manager within the GCC
- Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects in the Middle East, with a focus on Giga projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
- Experience with financial reporting and contract management.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Familiarity with building information modelling (BIM) and other design software and PMIS
