Application Support Engineer – Cards at Commercial Bank in Doha
Job Summary
We are looking for a Card Payments Support Engineer who will be Responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and supporting applications used in the processing and management of payment cards. This includes debit, credit, and prepaid card systems, ensuring smooth operations, quick issue resolution, and minimal downtime.
Key Accountabilities
- Application Support; Resolve issues, optimize performance, and provide first/second-level support for card applications.
- System Monitoring; Monitor system health, apply updates, and ensure compliance with card schemes.
- Configuration; Configure and maintain applications, supporting product launches and system changes.
- Troubleshooting; Analyze and resolve technical issues, deploy fixes, and document solutions.
- Security & Compliance; Ensure PCI-DSS compliance, address vulnerabilities, and support audits.
- User Support; Train end-users and create manuals and system documentation.
- Collaboration; Work with teams on upgrades, enhancements, and resolving issues.
Qualifications & Experiences
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PCI-DSS) are a plus.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in application support, preferably within the payments or cards domain. (Applications TSYS PRIME, OpenWay Way4, ACS)
- Strong understanding of card payment systems, transaction processing, and related technologies (e.g., EMV, ISO8583, 3DS, Payment Gateway, HSM).
- Knowledge of card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, etc.) and payment network protocols.
- Previous experience with card payment gateways, fraud detection, and risk management systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving application issues in high-volume payment environments.
