A’soud Global School (AGS) Salalah is seeking a well-qualified, passionate and experienced Secondary English and Global Perspectives teacher to join our ambitious, supportive and growing team.

Who are we?
AGS Salalah is a vibrant, international community in the heart of the Dhofar region of Oman. We currently provide education from KG1 to Year 10, with learners entered for their IGCSEs, and we are in an exciting phase of growth as we expand further into both primary and secondary.
We follow the highly respected Cambridge International Curriculum, giving our learners the knowledge, skills and values needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Alongside academic excellence, we place a strong emphasis on character, curiosity and care for others.

We are looking for teachers who will help us continue to build a culture of high achievement, respect and belonging. The successful candidate will:

  • hold consistently high expectations of all learners and believe in every child’s potential;
  • be highly motivated, adaptable and resilient, with a strong commitment to international education;
  • model excellent classroom practice in English and demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge up to IGCSE level;
  • have experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE English (First Language and/or Second Language) and, ideally, Global Perspectives;
  • use effective differentiation, assessment and feedback to support the progress of learners with a wide range of abilities and English language levels;
  • encourage critical thinking, collaboration and debate, supporting learners to make connections between global issues and their own contexts;
  • contribute actively to our “one team” ethos – valuing collaboration, openness and mutual support;
  • work in close partnership with parents, building positive and professional relationships that enhance students’ progress and wellbeing;
  • bring enthusiasm to extra-curricular life, seeing it as a vital part of developing well-rounded learners;
  • show a genuine commitment to their own growth as a professional, making the most of the development opportunities available at AGS.
