Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our finance team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and supporting various accounting tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in the field of accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and general ledgers for management.
  • Maintain and update accounting records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense reimbursements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, providing input on income and expense projections.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data by reconciling accounts and bank statements.
  • Monitor budget adherence and report on variances to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Verify and reconcile discrepancies in financial documents and transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll and related documentation as needed.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue growth potential, and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Coordinate with managers to approve and process payments to vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Assist in maintaining organized and efficient filing systems for financial documents and records.
  • Other tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of Prior experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in real estate.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations and accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work through periods of high workload.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Understanding of regional business culture and regulations.
  • The ability to understand and make use of computers and information technology (Knight Frank internal systems).
  • Certifications and Licenses: None.
  • Software: Microsoft Office programs to a proficient level, with advanced proficiency with Excel. Knowledge of accounting software required.
  • Language skills: Fluency in English, written and verbal. Fluency in Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
  • Travel: Flexible attitude towards travelling.
